GeoGlyph 2.0 is scheduled for release in mid/late October, 2016. Early access will be provided to people who preordered GeoGlyph 2.0, and existing GeoGlyph 1.0 Professional users.
If you purchased on or after June 15, 2016, you are entitled to a free upgrade to the same edition category of GeoGlyph 2.0.
GeoGlyph 2.0 has a more flexible installation limit. You can install your copy of GeoGlyph 2.0 on 2 computers simultaneously, as long as you are the only person using it. You can reinstall several times with the same license key.
Please note, an internet connection is required for license activation. For offline activation, contact us.
Yes, an internet connection is required to activate the license. Normal usage does not require the internet. An internet connection is required for features like the Learning Sidebar which rely on connectivity to our servers.
If you do not have an internet connection, your license will need to be manually activated. Please contact technical support for assistance.
Secondary licenses are no longer necessary. GeoGlyph 2.0 Indie and Professional licenses can be installed on 2 different computers as long as you are the only user.
If you previously paid for a secondary license and would like to convert that into a full license, we can offer you the same upgrade pricing as a primary license. Contact us to initiate the upgrade.
Absolutely! Existing customers can upgrade their licenses anytime, even after the preorder period ends. However, if you order during the preorder period, you can take advantage of our preorder discount. The discount will expires at midnight, PST on October 31, 2016.
All QuadSpinner products are non-refundable. We provide a free version of GeoGlyph called the Community Edition. This is the perfect edition for learning and evaluating GeoGlyph before purchasing. High resolution builds are watermarked, but you can still examine the detail and quality of the builds. If you require further testing, you can contact us for other options.
Yes, GeoGlyph 2.0 supports GeoGlyph 1.0 macros out of the box. However, there are a few caveats. GeoGlyph 1.0 must be uninstalled for maximum compatibility.
GeoGlyph 1.0 macros are included in GeoGlyph 2.0; however, they have been integrated differently under the hood to play better with the new architecture.
If you have GeoGlyph 1.0 macros in an existing World Machine file, they will be compatible with GeoGlyph 2.0. If a new GeoGlyph macro is placed in the file, it will be the new updated macro. If you wish to avoid that, load the macros manually from the +Create menu. Choose the macros in the "GeoGlyph" folder. The new macros are in the "GeoGlyph 2" folder. Macros created from the Enhanced Toolbox or Toolbar will automatically be from GeoGlyph 2.
If you’re creating new files, we highly recommend using the latest generation macros.
You can mix macros from both generations in the same file. This will not cause problems. However, forward/future compatibility cannot be assured, so we recommend using the GeoGlyph 2 version of the macros as often as possible.
